Privacy
The timer collects nothing. The scoreboard keeps the names and scores a gym types into it. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking, and nothing here is sold.
The timer
The round timer, in a browser or on Apple TV, has no account, no analytics and no cookies. Your round, warning and rest lengths, and which gym's branding you last chose, are kept on your own device: in the browser's local storage, or in the app's preferences on the Apple TV. Clearing your browser data or deleting the app removes them.
The app, the artwork, the bell and the wooden clapper are delivered in the page itself and then cached, which is what lets it keep working when the gym's wifi drops. The one request the timer makes is when you enter a gym's code: it fetches that gym's theme, a public file holding their name, colors and logo. The only thing sent is the code you typed, and the answer is stored on your device so it never has to ask twice.
The scoreboard and match day
There are two ways to run it. On the gym's own network, the Apple TV board and a phone can talk to a relay in the building, and nothing about the match leaves it. On cornerman.app, the board, the phone controller, the bracket, the leaderboard and the event view run through our database, so they keep what they show. An Apple TV app version that offers the cloud connection uses the same database.
What is kept, always tied to the gym's code and never to a person, because there are no accounts:
- the match on the board right now: athlete names, belts, stripes, scores and the clock;
- the gym's roster, the names and belts it has typed in before, so the next event starts faster;
- the results of finished matches: who won, how, under which ruleset, and when;
- the brackets the gym builds.
A gym decides whose names go in, and an adult at the gym types them. For children we suggest first names or initials. Cornerman does not ask anyone for an age, a photo, an address or an email address to use the scoreboard, and it never contacts the people on a roster.
Anybody who has a gym's code can open that gym's board and leaderboard, and anybody with its controller link can score. A code works like a password for its gym, so give it to the people who run the event and not to the room. If one gets out, write to us and we will retire it.
Buying your gym's branding
Stripe takes the payment. It sees your card; we never do. It sends us the name and email address you paid with and the gym name you typed. We use the address to send one email with your link and code, and to answer you when you write. Your gym's name, colors and logo are kept in a public file, because that is how your screens load them.
If you type your website into the lookup on the home page, our server reads that page and the logo on it for you and hands them straight back to your browser. Nothing from the lookup is stored unless you go on to buy, and then the logo you previewed is held for up to 30 days so it can follow you into checkout.
Who else handles it
Cloudflare serves every page, and like any host it sees the address and browser of whoever asks for one. Supabase hosts the database behind the scoreboard. Stripe takes payments and Resend sends the one email. Apple distributes the app. That is the whole list: no advertising network, no analytics provider, no fonts or scripts from anywhere else, no cookies.
How long it is kept
- The live match, the bracket and the controller's name memory are deleted 90 days after the gym's code was last used.
- A gym record nobody ever put anything into is deleted after 90 days.
- Rosters and results are kept until the gym asks for them to go.
- The email address and the branding are kept for as long as the gym's branding exists.
Deleting it
Write to info@labyrinth.vision with your gym code. We delete the roster, the results, the live state and the gym's record, and we tell you when it is done, within 30 days. On request we remove the purchase record too; Stripe keeps its own receipt.
Children
The timer collects nothing from anyone, of any age, and the app is rated 4+. The scoreboard stores the names an adult at the gym types in, and nothing else about the people on it. If a name should not be there, we delete it on request.
Changes
If this ever stops being true, this page changes before the product does.
